Terms and Conditions
Little Avalon Transfers provides private vehicle commercial transport services to individual passengers, multiple passengers, or small groups of passengers.
Being a Transportation Service Provider, Little Avalon Transfers enables bookings enquiries, journey quotations, bookings confirmations, and the completion of passenger vehicle services for customers.
The rider/passenger or customer pays the agreed value of the transport services to Little Avalon Transfers as the Transport Services Provider.
Contractual Relationship and Conclusion of Contract
Little Avalon Transfers makes the necessary arrangements to provide the confirmed rider/passenger/customer with an entitlement to carriage. Consequentially, the confirmed rider/passenger/customer is entitled to demand the requested and confirmed travel services directly from Little Avalon Transfers.
By submitting a ride request, completed enquiry, or trip quotation form via the Little Avalon Transfers website, via email, via SMS, or via telephone to Little Avalon Transfers the rider/passenger/customer makes an offer for the conclusion of an arrangement agreement. The object of this agreement is the arrangement and completion of the travel service to meet the rider/passenger/customer’s ride request.
Little Avalon Transfers next sends the rider/passenger/customer an email confirming the receipt of the ride details for the travel service which is to be arranged. Through this, Little Avalon Transfers confirms only the receipt of the rider/passenger/customer’s ride request.
The arrangement agreement between Little Avalon Transfers and the rider for the requested travel service comes into effect only through a separate statement (“Booking Confirmation”) by Little Avalon Transfers via telephone SMS, or via email. The rider themselves is then entitled to demand the transportation services from Little Avalon Transfers directly. The Rider/Passenger/Customer and Little Avalon Transfers then collaborate to complete the confirmed rider requested journey and transport services.
Rider/Passenger/Customer Registration Requirements
It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that all information that they, or someone else on their behalf, have provided to Little Avalon Transfers is complete and accurate.
The following conditions apply to the Little Avalon Transfers arranged entitlement to carriage of the rider/passenger/customer:
Transfer of Rides / Change of Bookings / Changes to Service
The rider can choose to change details of rides and bookings for their ride request. If, according to the express wishes of the rider, or guest, the amended ride request requires additional effort compared to the original ride request, Little Avalon Transfers should carry this out where possible. The extra effort may result in additional costs for the rider due to the requested changes in service.
Transport Safety, Consequences
The price given in the Booking Confirmation includes the luggage specified by the rider at the time of booking in the messages section on the journey quotation form. Excess luggage, bulky luggage, or the transportation of animals not stated as an additional comment upon booking could lead to corresponding surcharges.
Little Avalon Transfers reserves the right to refuse the carriage of luggage and/or animals which was/were not agreed to. This also applies to animals which are not appropriately trained, restrained, groomed, or prepared for safe transport.
Carriage of Children
The need for safety seats for children should be requested by the rider as an additional comment by specifying the number and age of children to be transported as well as the required type of seating. Riders may need to provide their own child safety seats depending on requirements and age and number of children.
Information on Number of Guests and Pieces of Luggage
The maximum number of guests and pieces of luggage specified for a particular vehicle is an estimate based on factors such as size and weight of guest and luggage. Little Avalon Transfers can refuse the carriage of guests or luggage or items if they compromise passenger space and safety conditions.
Prevention of Carriage
Little Avalon Transfers reserves the right to refuse carriage if the rider’s specific special requirements were not at all, or not correctly, communicated by the rider during time of booking, or as an additional message comment on the trip quotation form.
Exceptional situations such as air-traffic controller strikes, extreme weather conditions, etc. can be compensated only to a limited extent, meaning that longer waiting periods or last-minute cancellations must be accepted by riders.
Cancellations, Changes to Booking, and No-Shows
(a) Small local transfers
Cancellation is free of charge if there is more than two hours left before the agreed pickup time. A cancellation can only be done by notifying Little Avalon Transfers through email, SMS text, or phone call.
(b) Longer regional transfers
For Longer regional transfers, cancellation is free of charge if there are more than 24 hours left before the agreed pickup time. If there are less than 24 hours before the agreed pickup time, a cancellation fee will apply. A cancellation can only be done by email, SMS text, or phone call.
(c) Hourly, Half Day, and Full Day Bookings
For Hourly/Half Day/Full Day bookings, cancellation is free of charge if there are more than 24 hours left before the agreed pickup time. If there are less than 24 hours before the agreed pickup time, a cancellation fee will apply. A cancellation can only be done by email, SMS text, or phone call.
Changes to Booking
Changes to bookings are generally treated as new bookings. The policy for dealing with cancellations seen above will therefore apply to the ride originally agreed upon.
No-Shows without cancellation, Delay to the rider
In case of a no-show without cancellation, the rider loses their entitlement to carriage with Little Avalon Transfers.
A ride is considered a no-show if the Rider, or guest, has not shown up without cancellation within 60 minutes after the agreed pickup time at the agreed pickup location. If a customer does not show up, the ride must be paid for in full.
For airport, ferry terminal, or train station pickups the ride is considered a no-show when the Rider, or passenger, has not shown up without cancellation within 60 minutes after the agreed pickup time at the agreed pickup location, at which flight, ferry, and train delays or earlier flights and trains lead to a deferral of the scheduled pickup time by the planned period of time between the planned arrival time and the original pickup time. If a rider/customer does not show up, the ride must be paid for in full, whereas possible surcharges for waiting time do not apply.
From this rule situations are excluded in which Little Avalon Transfers and the rider/passenger/customer/guest have agreed on a later pickup time by text SMS, or phone. Possible surcharges for waiting time will have to be considered.
Behaviour in the Vehicle
The following behavioural standards apply to the riders/passengers/customers/guests when traveling with Little Avalon Transfers:
During the entirety of the ride, all guests must follow the regulations which apply to the relevant Road Traffic Act, especially the seatbelt regulations. Any instructions given by Little Avalon Transfers must be followed. It is the responsibility of Little Avalon Transfers to ensure a safe ride. It is therefore prohibited for guests to open the doors while driving, throw any objects from the vehicle, and/or stick body parts out of or shout from the vehicle. If the rider wishes to use any of the devices or facilities in the vehicle, a brief instruction is required from Little Avalon Transfers.
Smoking is prohibited in the vehicle. If the Rider, or guest, ignores this, they are liable to pay not only the cost for the cleaning of the vehicle but also compensate the loss of business due to the downtime of the vehicle.
The consumption of food is discouraged. Alcoholic drinks are only allowed to be consumed in the car with prior consent.
Compensation and Payment Principles
The payment costings for Little Avalon Transfers services are specified at the time of the Booking Confirmation.
Key factors for this amount and the arranged transportation services are: the quality of the vehicle, the distance, duration of the journey, number of passengers, how far in advance the ride is booked, as well as the pickup time and possibly the location.
Additionally booked special requests, e.g. additional stops, bulky luggage, car seats for children, etc. may cause the price to increase.
Even after the conclusion of the travel arrangement agreement, and even after the start of the ride, provided it is possible for Little Avalon Transfers, the Rider (and the guest) can make changes to the Travel Arrangements.
If a ride is spontaneously lengthened (distance or number of hours) according to the wish of the Rider, or guest, the actual service (total distance or number of hours) will be newly calculated and priced according to the current price structure. In the case of hourly bookings, each additional 30 minute block is considered for invoicing.
Waiting Times for Transfer Services
For transfer services, no surcharges are applied in the case of airport, ferry, or train station for a waiting time of up to 60 minutes after the agreed pickup time, at which flight, ferry, and train delays or earlier flights and trains lead to a deferral of the scheduled pickup time by the planned period of time between the planned arrival time and the original pickup time, and up to 15 minutes from the agreed pickup time in all other cases. Each additional minute of waiting time will be calculated as a flat-rate, including GST, according to the hourly booking prices.
Additional Kilometres for Hourly Bookings
Hourly bookings contain the kilometres (per hour) that are stated on the booking form (or by phone). Any additional kilometres are subject to surcharge, including GST, and are calculated according to the price per kilometre.
Terms of Payment and Transaction Fees
The rider can pay for their ride by credit card. Incidental credit card charges are carried Little Avalon Transfers. Any transaction fees when making payments via bank transfer (e.g. due to different currencies or different local accounts) are carried by the Rider.
Payment Reminders, Unpaid Invoices
For Corporate and Account customers Invoice Payment Terms are strictly 14 days from Date of Invoice. Little Avalon Transfers will send a reminder 12 days from Date of Invoice to facilitate payment before the due date.
Sending of Invoices, Payment Dates
Little Avalon Transfers will provide the rider/passenger/customer with the respective invoice electronically via email or SMS text. Payment can be made at time of travel by credit card, payment is due immediately. When paying by bank transfer, the payment date referred to in the invoice must be kept. Strictly 14 days from Date of Invoice.
Vouchers are only redeemable individually and cannot be combined with other vouchers. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.
Subject to Change
Little Avalon transfers reserves the right to change these Terms. Notification of the change is made as a unilateral declaration by publishing the new Terms on the website of Little Avalon Transfers and thus informing customers and site visitors of this. It is the responsibility of the rider/passenger/customer to review the terms and conditions before using the service. If the customer does not object to the new Terms within 14 days of the information being published, the new Terms then apply. Continued use of Little Avalon Transfers transport services is then dependent on the acceptance of the Terms by the user.
